NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.
On enrolment at Kelso High Campus, parents/carers will be given the Special Religious Education (SRE) participation letter to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to the Front Office in writing.
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
Mr Ed Sowden has been approved by the NSW Department of Education and Ministers’ Association in Bathurst to deliver the Think Faith Curriculum at Kelso High Campus. With parental consent, students in Year 7 and 8 participate in one lesson on the Christian faith per fortnight. The SRE lessons at Kelso High Campus currently occur on Fridays. Students not attending SRE lessons are provided with alternative meaningful activities in a different classroom such as reading, private study, completing homework or revision exercises. Ed is not a teacher at Kelso High Campus.
