Gifted and talented programs

An academically talented Year 7 class operates within the school. Students are placed into this class on the basis of the information received from family nomination, the primary feeder school and external testing.

Applications for this program are due by the end of Term 2 (Friday 5 July 2024), after which time they will be considered by the College team. Here is the information about the application process and how to access and complete the relevant forms.

A number of students participate in Aurora College, a virtual selective school which operates throughout the Western Region.

At Denison College we have an ongoing commitment to meet the needs of all students. The High Potential and Gifted Education Classes at each campus cater for those students who show exceptional ability in the intellectual and creative domains, as well as those who have the self-motivation and capacity for high level individual and group project work.

We also offer targeted enrichment programs throughout the year that extend our students in the intellectual, creative, social-emotional and physical domains of learning. These opportunities are designed to supplement the work being done across the key learning areas.
