Bring your own device

At Denison College we see that access to technology is vital in a future-focused learning environment and to ensure we continue to adapt our education system to 21st century models of teaching and learning.

Students today face an ever-changing and dynamic job environment where many employment prospects of tomorrow have not yet been imagined. An approach to teaching and learning which incorporates a range of pedagogical practices that focus on developing 21st century skills is required for our students. These skills include digital literacy, creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, communication and collaboration, and self-directed learning.

The Department of Education has adopted a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy and Denison College has implemented a school wide policy that encourages students to bring a suitable portable device (laptop or convertible laptop) to school for the purpose of learning and engagement.

This page contains information for parents, carers and students on suitable devices, DoE policy, purchasing options and support resources. It will continue to be updated as more information is made available.
